The organization’s name represents the address of our childhood home in Port au Prince, where our grandmother and mother offered food, shelter and love to countless children and neighbors over a span of more than 30 years. In honor of these women, we founded Haiti 155 shortly after the devastating earthquake in 2010, which both us survived, and have been working to rebuild and revitalize our country ever since.
